5 Thrift, Warehouse, and Art Sales This Weekend for Unique Austin Finds

With summer in full swing, Austin locals can take advantage of the city’s vibrant shopping scene to give their homes a refresh. Pop-up markets, thrift stores, and art sales offer a unique range of vintage, handmade, and one-of-a-kind home decor items. Here are five such sales happening this weekend that cater to a wide range of tastes and budgets:

City-Wide Vintage Sale

If you’re on a hunt for antique furniture or decor items with a rich past, the City-Wide Vintage Sale at Palmer Events Center this weekend is the place to be. From retro clothing to vintage records and comic books, these booths are a time machine of nostalgia. The sale takes place on Saturday and Sunday (July 13-14), with tickets priced at $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Further sales are scheduled for August 17-18 and September 14-15.

So So Spiffy Sale

So So Spiffy, a luxury staging and design company in Austin and Birmingham, Alabama, opens its warehouse doors once a month for a grand sale. This sale offers traditional, modern, and vintage furniture, ranging from accent chairs and sofas to unique end tables. This weekend’s sale takes place on Friday and Saturday (July 12-13) at 3601 W Parmer Lane.

Makers Market at Dripping Springs Distilling

For an escape from the city, the Makers Market, hosted by Austin Feel Good Market, offers a plethora of local vintage and handmade products. Pastries, plants, freeze-dried candies, and handmade candles are some of the items available. This indoor and outdoor market at Dripping Springs Distilling also has a free-entry policy and a playground, encouraging a fun day out for the whole family on Saturday, July 13.

ATXGals Summer Pop-Up Art Show

Art enthusiasts can head to Lush, a summer pop-up art show hosted by ATXGals, for one-of-a-kind pieces. With works from nine emerging women artists on display at The Cathedral, this event is perfect for those looking to add some creativity to their indoor spaces. The show kickstarts on Saturday, July 13, with a VIP reception in the evening, followed by a daytime show on Sunday, July 14.

Second Chance Saturday at APA! Thrift

On every second Saturday of the month, Austin Pets Alive! Thrift, gives shoppers a chance to buy secondhand clothes, furniture, and home decor. Besides sales and promotions, they also offer gift card giveaways, complimentary beverages, and pet adoptions. The Second Chance Saturday event is taking place this Saturday, July 13, from 10 am to 6 pm. What’s more, all net proceeds go directly to Austin Pets Alive! Shelter’s life-saving programs, which adds a feel-good factor to your shopping spree.

Whether it’s vintage treasures, artistic accents, or stylish furnishings, this weekend’s shopping scene in Austin offers something for everyone. So, brace the heat and treat your home to some unique finds while supporting local businesses and creatives.
