Postino’s Foray into Austin
The first Postino location will pop up in Zilker neighborhood at 1301 South Lamar Boulevard this summer, followed by a Bryker Woods branch opening at 1612 West 35th Street due in 2025. This expansion marks the chain’s first-ever presence in Austin, already home to an array of vibrant dining options and culinary delights.

Visitors at the South Lamar venue can expect an indoor dining area and a patio on the ground floor of a chic mixed-use development building. Launched in 2009 by co-founders Lauren Bailey and Craig DeMarco in Arizona, Postino falls under the umbrella of the Upward Projects company. Known for managing a robust portfolio of chain restaurants, Upward Projects established a formidable presence in the dining scenes of Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio before turning its eyes to Austin.
