Further, the accomplished writer will also be participating in the annual AFF’s Writers Conference, set to unravel in the October of the year.

About Ronald D. Moore

Moore has spent a bulk of his career in the enthralling world of science fiction, having initially entered the entertainment industry on the writing staff of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Moore’s writing prowess was so profound that he wrote or co-wrote twenty-seven episodes, bagging a Hugo Award for the two-hour series finale titled All Good Things in 1994. The same year, Moore was also nominated for an Emmy Award, which subsequently led to his promotion to Producer.

Moore continued to rise in ranks, and by 1994, was a part of the writing staff of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Supervising Producer, with an elevation to Co-Executive Producer the following year. Moore stayed with the series until its successful and final run in 1999. Moore briefly served as an Executive Consultant on the USA cable series Good vs. Evil before becoming the Executive Producer of Roswell.

Moore’s Prolific Career in TV

In 2003, Moore made waves in the entertainment industry by creating the reimagined series, Battlestar Galactica, serving as Showrunner/Executive Producer for its four-season run. This accolade-studded show won a prestigious Peabody Award and was twice selected as an official selection of the American Film Institute. Moore snagged an Emmy for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series in 2006 and bagged another Emmy for the Battlestar Galactica webisodes in 2008.

Moore continues to make significant strides in the world of television even now, with his production company called Tall Ship Productions developing and producing TV series. The production company signed a deal with Disney’s 20th Television in 2020 and is currently working on new television projects.
