Austin Police Need Your Help to Catch Armed Robbers!

Hey there, Austin residents! We’ve got some important news that requires your attention. The Austin Police Department’s Robbery Unit is reaching out to all of you for help in solving two serious robberies that hit our community recently. It seems our city is dealing with some unsavory characters, and the police are eager to track them down.

The First Incident: Convenience Store Hold-Up

The first robbery happened on November 30, 2024, at a convenience store on 10300 North Lamar Boulevard. The timeline was tight, occurring between 9:50 PM and 10:00 PM.

During this incident, the police describe the main suspect as a man who seems to be in his mid-30s to mid-40s. He stands between 6’0” and 6’2” tall and weighs about 200 pounds. When he entered the store, he was last seen holding a handgun, which is obviously a concerning detail.

As for his attire, he was sporting a gray and orange University of Texas Austin sweatshirt, paired with black pants, sunglasses, a multicolored medical-style mask, black gloves, and shiny white shoes with black trim. Quite a distinctive look—let’s hope someone recognizes him!

The Second Robbery: Grocery Store Assault

December 16, 2024, another robbery occurred, this time at a grocery store located at 8200 Research Boulevard. This incident happened later in the night, between 10:20 PM and 10:30 PM.

The second suspect is eerily similar to the first. He is also within the age range of 35 to 45 years and shares the same height and weight: about 6’0” to 6’2” tall and around 200 pounds. This guy was last seen with a black handgun, making him equally dangerous.

When it comes to his clothing, he was dressed quite conspicuously in an all-black outfit, which included a hoodie, sunglasses, gaiters, and pants that matched his sneaky style. He also had gloves on and wore shoes that blended well with his dark ensemble.
