Agnez Mo Headlines the First Outdoor Asian Music Festival in Texas

Agnez Mo Takes Center Stage at the #YAR Music Festival

ROUND ROCK, Texas: The music scene in Round Rock, Texas is about to get a jolt of excitement as the international Indonesian superstar, Agnez Mo, is set to headline the inaugural #YAR (Young Asian Represent) Music Festival. The event, which claims to be the first outdoor Asian music fest in Texas, is a unique blend of independent musical talents hailing from diverse locales such as Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, and the United States.

#YAR Music Festival: Breaking Boundaries and Building Bridges

Organized by 1214 Entertainment, the festival is a traveling celebration of Asian music that has made stops in Austin, New York, and Los Angeles. However, this iteration, happening at the Round Rock Amphitheater, which opened its doors in April 2022, promises to be larger in scale than its previous versions.

Set to take place on November 2 and 3, the festival will bring together at least 16 remarkable musical acts. Adding even more flavor to the event is the presence of a traditional Asian night market, offering an enticing decor of food, crafts, and vendor goods. At the heart of the lineup is Agnez Mo, an internationally renowned artist boasting over 32.1 million followers on Instagram and more than 100 global accolades to her name.

Performers Bringing A Global Mix of Cultures and Sounds

Beyond Mo, the featured artists at #YAR are a diverse and alluring mix of sounds and cultures:
Justin Park – A Korean American R&B and pop artist based in Los Angeles.
Kire – A music producer from Taipei, Taiwan, esteemed for his evocative beats and fashion-forward persona.

North Star Boys (NSB) – A pop band and social media sensation representing a variety of Asian countries and backgrounds.

Rei Ami – An alt-pop artist acclaimed for viral hits like “Dictator” and “Freak,” her collaboration with Sub Urban.

Some performers represent their local ground, including the blossoming Austin-based artist, Promqueen. A second-generation Vietnamese pop singer, she is known for her striking white bob and expressive outfits and makeup. As the KUTX’s May Artist of the Month, she shed light on her recent album, szn two, exploring themes of culture and identity.

The rest of the field, with an indication from previous artists and the futuristic, conceptual concert poster, suggests a continued resonance of pop and R&B rhythm patterns. More local acts are anticipated to be announced at a later date. Further details about #YAR can be found on the festival’s website, yarfest.com.
