Growing up, she attended Shiner Elementary and later, Shiner High School, from which she graduated in 1986. Fueling her passion for education, Connie earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Texas in 1990. As many can attest, she dedicated the next 29 years of her life to shaping the minds and hearts of students at West Ridge Middle School.

During her illustrious teaching career, Connie primarily served as a Physical Education teacher but also wore many hats, coaching volleyball, basketball, track, and golf.
