This week, Austin’s local breweries are teasing the palates of beer enthusiasts with new offerings in their menu. Blue Owl Brewing is marking the American Craft Beer Week with a special anniversary beer. However, it’s best to check with the online ordering systems as stocks may run out before the weekend.
Other breweries making waves include Ghost Note Brewing with Anniversary 3, featuring Wild Cherry Vanilla, and St. Elmo Brewing Co. with Droomskroll, a unique Black Rice Lager. Further, Zilker Brewing Co. is enticing beer lovers with a German-style pilsner, Pilsgnar, brewed in collaboration with @manana.surf.

Austin’s craft beer scene is not just about novel brews; it’s also about bringing people together for diverse experiences. On May 17th, Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden is going to release their collaboration brew with Vacancy Brewing named Cosmic Sans in an Italian Style Pilsner.

For those who love their pint with a dash of fun, Blue Owl Brewing is hosting a PB&J Eating Contest at 2pm on May 19th. The same evening, Slacker’s Brewery organizes a ‘Paint your Pet’ event from 6-8pm. Memorial Weekend Celebrations
Memorial weekend promises to further raise the pitch for the city’s craft beer enthusiasts. 12 Fox Beer is all set to celebrate its 5 Year Anniversary while Fast Friends Beer Co. will commemorate its 1 year anniversary.
Adding to these, special happenings include 4th Friday at the brewery by (512) Brewing and Slam Portal VIII: Swift Justice by Central Machine Works.
