Food lovers in the city will be thrilled to learn that the chef roster for the upcoming Austin Food & Wine Festival 2024 is officially out. The vivacious food celebration is set to take place from Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3, at Auditorium Shores in Bouldin Creek.
Among the highlights of the festival’s schedule this year will be a live cooking demonstration by ‘The Bear’ culinary producer, Chef Courtney Storer. Known for her role in training actors to cook and prep food on the show, the private chef is likely to serve up a tantalizing spectacle for attendees. Storer, who also helms the Los Angeles-based catering company Coco’s to Go-Go, has won acclaim for her culinary prowess and creativity.
Apart from familiar faces, the 2024 edition of the food festival will also welcome some new contributors. This includes New York-based modern Chinese restaurant RedFarm’s Austin location, represented by Executive Chef Joe Ng, modern Italian American restaurant Casa Bianca Chef Joseph Zoccoli, and Austin ice cream chain Amy’s. The W hotel from Downtown Austin will also be appearing, showcasing bites from their yet-to-launch restaurant Serenade, which describes itself as a fusion of American, French, and Texan flavors, under the expertise of Chef Johnny Ray.
This exciting culinary fest will largely follow the successful formula of previous years, with only minor changes. For example, the VIP-only Made in Texas event — a showcase of Texas-native delicacies prepared by participating chefs — will move to a new location at the Long Center’s terrace from its previous location at Auditorium Shores.
The full festival, including events such as the main chef showcase, fire pits, and more, are organised by the revered food magazine Food & Wine and well-known Austin-based events production company C3. Tickets for the festival are currently available for purchase, with two-day weekend passes costing $270, a single-day pass $195, and VIP passes priced at $750.
As food enthusiasts gear up for this gastronomic spectacle, the enticing lineup of culinary maestros certainly promises an unforgettable feasting experience.
