The median park size in Austin is 6.7 acres, a figure that surpasses the national ParkScore average of 5.4 acres. Moreover, Austin is the highest spender in Texas when it comes to park systems, investing about $198 per resident, amounting to over $196 million annually. Notably, though, approximately 69 percent of residents live within a 10-minute walk of a park, slightly below the national average of 76 percent.

Plano outperformed all in Texas, scooping the 1st rank in the state and 16th nationwide, with impressive figures such as a median park size of 13.8 acres and 82 percent of residents living within a 10-minute walk of a park.

Dallas attained a nationwide rank of 38 and state rank of 2. The median park size is nearly 8 acres, with 74 percent of residents living within the vicinity of a park. Furthermore, Dallas invests $140 per person in its park system, slightly above the $124 national average.

San Antonio, positioned fifth in Texas, bagged the 53rd position at the national level. In comparison to the figures of Austin Parks, San Antonio has a slightly larger median park size of 10.2 acres, and it spends on an average $129 per person on its park system.
