Austin Police Seek Public Assistance to Identify Violent Robbery Suspect

Austin Police Need Your Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect!

Here in our lively city of Austin, a troubling incident took place last month that has left both the community and police on high alert. Around 12:30 a.m. on November 18, an employee at the 7-Eleven store located at 201 West Ben White Boulevard was the victim of a tumultuous robbery that turned violent. Now, the Austin Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in tracking down the suspect.

The Crime Scene Description

From what police have gathered, it seems the trouble started when a suspect, who is described as a white or mixed-race male, attempted to leave the store with stolen merchandise. According to reports, he didn’t think twice about trying to exit without paying. Unfortunately, this is where things got ugly. When confronted by the store employee, it’s alleged that the suspect became aggressive, assaulting the worker in an attempt to escape.

In his hurried attempt to flee the scene of the crime, he followed up his assault by smashing through the front glass door of the convenience store. It’s a vivid scene that must have startled everyone around. As of now, no serious injuries have been reported concerning the employee, but that doesn’t lessen the impact of such a frightening encounter.

Suspect Description

Police have shared some details about the suspect in hopes that someone out there might recognize him. He is estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old, standing around 5’10” tall, and sporting a dark-colored beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a distinct get-up: a black hat, a fashionable green plaid long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans with a chain. He also had on black shoes and was seen carrying several green bags along with a gray and black bag.
