The 20-year-old victim, identified as Keshan Ramonce Cage, was found with a gunshot wound to the head around 10:35 p.m. on October 16 at a location on Burton Drive, just a short distance from a double homicide that occurred earlier that same week.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded swiftly to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered Cage suffering from a serious injury. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead on the spot.
APD’s Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists were called in to examine the area for evidence.
