Austin, Texas: 26th Anniversary Celebration of Cine Las Americas

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in an array of Latinx and indigenous films, videos, cultures, countries, and stories, in one of the most vibrant cities in the United States.
An Immersive Cinematic Journey
The grand festival will commence with the introduction by the executive director of Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, the wonderful Gabriel Orneles. Gabriel intends to set the stage with an overview of the program, which promises to be deeply engaging, thought-provoking, and truly entertaining.
Highlights of the Festival
The festival has a line of exceptional films it will exhibit. The movie marathon begins with a screening of “Going Varsity in Mariachi”, a compelling film brought to life by the talented Alejandra Vasquez & Sam Osborn; whereas, the closing is adorned with the viewing of “La Contadora de Peliculas” (The Movie Teller) by Lone Scherfig.

Film lovers have a chance to savor this cultural feast in various venues, from the high-class seats at AFS Cinema located at 6259 Middle Fiskville Rd. to the sophisticated setup at Austin PBS in Clayton Lane/Wilhelmina Delco Dr.
The vibrancy does not end here. Special events will light up the evening at We Luv Video, 100 North Loop Blvd E, and passionate observers can relish art and culture at Nepantla Art Gallery located at 1209 East Cesar Chavez Street.
