East Austin Hotspot Hosts Dog Party and Adoption Event for National Pet Month

An Event Full of Tail-Wagging Fun

The fun vibes of Memorial Day weekend are being carried over by one East Austin bar, Dainty Dillo. On Wednesday, May 29, the bar will get even more colorful and lively as it plays host to a dog party in honor of National Pet Month. The event will be held at the new Dainty Dillo location which had replaced the Tillery Kitchen and Bar, situated at 3201 East Cesar Chavez St during February of this year.

As an arm of the vibrant South Austin concept, Armadillo Den, Dainty Dillo boasts an expansive patio, providing a perfect setting for festive gatherings. The approaching Dog Day party guarantees a good deal of fun for both human revelers and their four-legged companions. With festivities kicking off at 6 pm and wrapping up at 9 pm, the event will be an excellent opportunity to sample the bar’s locally sources drinks coupled with a varied menu of sandwiches, snacks, and salads.

Meet Local Pet-Related Vendors

While humans crack open a locally sourced beer or a cocktail, their furry companions will be catered to by the pet-related vendors. The roster of booths includes Dogsht, prominent for its locally designed dog hats, bowls, and specialty robes called “WraPups”; Just Right Dog Design Co, recognized for their dog-pattern stationery, greeting cards, and prints; Pawstin Barkery, known for its handmade dog treats; Barkin Creek Dog Kitchen + Bath, celebrated for its dog food, daycare, treats, and spa services; and Furever Grateful that offers leashes, collars, and pet outfits.

Find Your Furry Companion

The best part of all, event attendees who are pet parents or wish to welcome a new animal member into their family will get a chance to adopt from Rescue PAC. The non-profit organization, based in Central Texas, specializes in dog rescues.

Free Admission for All

No tickets are required for this pet-friendly event, making it easily accessible for the public to come in and join the celebration. So, do ensure you mark your calendar for May 29 and head over to Dainty Dillo in East Austin for a truly jubilant tail-wagging soiree.
