Starting on October 2, 2024, Southwest will begin its brand-new nonstop route that connects Austin to Jacksonville, Florida! Forget layovers and unnecessary stops—this flight will operate every day except Saturdays, making it easier for families, business travelers, and beach lovers alike to reach the Sunshine State. The Austin-to-Jacksonville flight is scheduled to leave at 12:50 p.m. and will touch down in Jacksonville by 4:15 p.m.. The lowest fare for this tasty trip is right around $224.
But that’s not the only addition on the schedule. The return flight flips the script with a departure from Jacksonville at 11:55 a.m. and arriving back in Austin by 1:35 p.m.. Travelers can snag this ticket for as low as $265. Perfect timing for that weekend fun!
Southwest isn’t stopping there! They are also expanding service between San Diego and Tampa. Beginning on the same day, you can now fly daily from Thursday to Monday instead of just once a week on Saturdays. This change promises to make beach trips and family visits a breeze!
This fall, Austin’s airport isn’t just buzzing about the Jacksonville route. Southwest will introduce weekday flights to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Reno, Nevada.
