AUSTIN, Texas – The streets of our city are calling out for help as the Austin Police Department dives deep into the hunt for three men who are accused of committing a brazen robbery at gunpoint earlier this month. This alarming incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning on August 17, at around 5:18 a.m., in the 14200 block of The Lakes Boulevard.
According to police reports, the victim was minding his own business when the trio of suspects approached him. The men didn’t waste any time; they reportedly held the victim down while one of them pointed a handgun right at him. In a shocking turn of events, they stole his personal belongings, including his vehicle keys.
After the robbery, the suspects didn’t hang around. They made off with the victim’s vehicle, which was later found abandoned a few hours later on Rutland Drive. Thankfully, the vehicle was recovered, but the three men who threatened the victim are still out there.
