Austin, TX: This fall, the magical universe of Harry Potter will touch down in the Heart of Texas as the city’s McKinney Roughs Nature Park prepares to morph into an enchanted nighttime trail, drawing inspiration from the legendary “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” cinematic universe. This immersive campaign, aptly titled Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, will commence on November 9 and promises to teleport attendees to some of the most adored scenes and encounters from the world-renowned wizarding sphere.
The Harry Potter saga, created by J.K. Rowling just over 25 years ago, has evolved into a global phenomenon with an enduring presence in the world of entertainment, thanks in part to its blockbuster film adaptations. The responsibility of orchestrating this captivating event falls on Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, who are collaborating with Fever and IMG. The venture had previously been brought to life in locations like the UK, Australia, and New York.
Event-goers can look forward to a lighted woodland trail showcasing magical beings such as Unicorns and Hippogriffs. The trail will also entertain participants with interactive features like spell-casting and the opportunity to summon their own Patronus—a signature element from the Harry Potter universe.
The experience will extend beyond the trail with an on-site village setup, boasting a wide array of official “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” merchandise, alongside an assortment of tantalizing food and beverage options. Topping off the list of refreshments is the famous Butterbeer, famed for its sweet butterscotch flavor that has been immortalized in the Harry Potter lore.
Guests should allot 60–90 minutes for the total experience, with the trail excursion expected to last approximately 45–75 minutes. Ticket prices set off at $41 for adults and $28 for children, with the sales opening on August 29 at 10 a.m. CDT. Jumping on the waitlist could afford you early access to tickets. The event will be hosted every day from 5:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., with the last entry at 10:15 p.m., taking you into the enchanted world of Harry Potter all the way beyond the holiday season.
