Austin, TX– Harvest season is upon us and with it comes the time-honored tradition of grape stomping. Hill Country wineries are catering to wine lovers and adventure seekers with an array of grape stomping events lined up throughout the summer.
The Texas Hill Country Wineries association (THCW), home to over 60 distinguished member wineries, has sculpted an engaging lineup of summer festivities. Out of these, the grape stomps, which require just about enough dexterity to smash bare feet in a bucket of grapes, make for a fun and light-hearted event, perfect for festivals.
With several vineyards hosting grape stomping events (and one even offering grape punching), visitors will be spoilt for choice. Here, CultureMap highlights a few of the standout events:
While grape stomping is a standout experience, there’s more to the Hill Country wineries than this festive activity. Other reasons to visit can be found on THCW’s events calendar, which includes a user-friendly map showcasing dozens of wineries around the Hill Country, replete with useful tags: age restrictions, wheelchair accessibility, presence of food and more.
Interested visitors can find general information on the Texas Hill Country Wineries website.
