Justin Timberlake Interrupts Concert to Assist Fan in Distress
Internationally-renowned artist, Justin Timberlake, had his performance halted during his recent concert at the Moody Center in Austin over the weekend. Not by a faulty microphone, not by a failed sound system, but by a distress call from a fan in need of medical attention.
A Sudden Interruption
The ten-times Grammy Awardee was enrapturing the crowd with his classic hit, “Cry Me a River”, when he noticed a fan in unfortunate circumstances. Timberlake tried to draw the attention of the security team towards the distressed fan. After several attempts, Timberlake requested the house lights to be turned on to better facilitate the situation according to a video captured by a concertgoer and posted on TikTok.
“House lights up,” Timberlake was heard saying in the video clip. “Sorry everybody, one second, one second. We need some assistance here, about five rows back.”
A Timely Rescue
In a swift response, emergency aid was fetched and rendered to the fan. Another spectator, who had a closer view of the incident, commented on the TikTok video, reporting that the individual struck with the medical episode was alright. Justin also confirmed the well-being of the fan in the video.
The recent performance was part of Timberlake’s “Forget Tomorrow” World Tour, the superstar’s first tour in almost half a decade.
Justin Timberlake in Austin
Beyond just performing, Timberlake seemed to be thoroughly enjoying his time in Austin. Earlier, he had shared a video on his Instagram, featuring him on a bike tour around the city with his crew, before heading to the Moody Center for the evening’s performance. They were seen enjoying themselves whilst commenting on the city’s heat and hilly landscapes.
In the words of one concertgoer, “What a hero!” Justin Timberlake not only used his platform to entertain but also to potentially save a life, proving his prowess on and off the stage.
