AUSTIN – The Grammy-winning Tex-Mex supergroup, Los Super Seven, is headlining a benefit concert slated for Friday, 24th May, at Radio/East in Texas’ live music capital, Austin. This exceptional ensemble comprises members of the renowned band Los Lobos – Cesar Rosas, David Hidalgo, and Steve Berlin. The concert, dubbed “A Concert for Democracy,” aims to raise funds for Texas Turnout, a nonpartisan voter registration organization dedicated to registering young voters and enhancing voter participation in the Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Star-studded Line-Up

Music fans will be treated to full sets by revered local, national, and international groups. Sharing the stage with Los Super Seven will be Texas Country music star, Rick Treviño, Ruben Ramos “El Gato Negro,” San Antonio Grammy-winning Tejano band Los Texmaniacs, and Money Chicha. Among the exciting lineup of special guests are renowned Austin performers John Doe, Carrie Rodriguez, and Rosie Flores.

Boosting Youth Voter Registration

All proceeds from the concert are earmarked for The Good Deed Corps’ Texas Turnout campaign. The campaign’s primary aim is to increase youth voter turnout in under-resourced communities throughout the Texas Rio Grande Valley. For Steve Berlin of Los Lobos and Los Super Seven, the event marries a love of music with a commitment to civic duty. “There’s nothing better than enjoying a great night of fantastic music while doing our part to support voting rights in Texas,” said Berlin.

Ticket prices range from a student-friendly $15 to an exclusive VIP package priced at $250. The VIP package includes complimentary food and beverages, and an exclusive chance to meet and greet the performers.
