Construction is set to begin in fall 2025, with various home designs starting at $2.6 million for traditional homes and $400,000 for fractional shares in 3D-printed residences.
Austin, Texas – The Canyon Club, a new luxury residential resort community, is set to transform the Texas Hill Country with a unique blend of traditionally built and 3D-printed homes. Covering 60 acres of stunning lakefront property, this development aims to offer a premium lifestyle alongside innovative living solutions.
Prasso Ventures has announced plans for The Canyon Club, which will consist of 25 high-end residences on Lake Travis. Among these residences, five will be constructed using advanced 3D printing technology developed by Austin-based ICON. This project emphasizes a fractional ownership model, allowing multiple owners to share the luxury of these homes while integrating resort-style living amenities.
The Canyon Club targets affluent buyers interested in fractional ownership, a method that allows individuals to invest in property without shouldering the full financial burden alone. Each share provides access to six weeks of stay annually, making it an attractive option for potential buyers and investors. The project is also expected to impact local economies through construction, hospitality, and tourism.
Located at 122 Shoreline Road, The Canyon Club is about 45 minutes from downtown Austin, making it a convenient getaway for city dwellers seeking a lakeside retreat. The development will feature over 2,000 feet of private shoreline, an on-site beach, and boat slips to enhance the residential experience.
A variety of amenities are planned, including:
Construction for these amenities is expected to commence in fall 2025.
The homes at The Canyon Club will be offered in various designs. Traditionally built residences will be available as five- and six-bedroom homes, starting at $2.6 million. In contrast, the 3D-printed homes will each span approximately 3,400 square feet, with fractional ownership shares beginning in the low $400,000s. This pricing structure allows for a more accessible entry point into luxury living in the Texas Hill Country.
Jared Kuhn, a representative from ICON, explained that the combination of advanced construction technologies with a fractional ownership model represents an innovative approach to real estate development. The design of the 3D-printed homes focuses on sustainability, featuring energy-efficient materials that integrate with the natural landscape.
Owners of the 3D-printed homes will have opportunities for generating rental income through partnerships with well-known companies like Inspirato, Book-Above, and ThirdHome. This feature makes The Canyon Club not just a vacation home but also a potential income-generating investment.
The Canyon Club joins Prasso Ventures’ portfolio, which encompasses luxury developments and hospitality investments across multiple states, including Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Washington. A model home is already under construction, with the first wave of residences expected to be delivered in late 2026.
