Man Critically Injured in Northeast Austin Apartment Shooting
Austin, Texas – Early Friday morning chaos erupted when a man was critically injured in a shooting at an apartment complex located in Northeast Austin. Authorities are investigating the incident but have yet to identify any suspects.

Reports of shots fired at a local Waffle House located at 8800 East US-290 Highway were received by the Austin Police Department around 2:20 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found one victim suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Eyewitnesses transported the severely injured man from the nearby Alta Blue Goose Apartments, the believed scene of the shooting, to the Waffle House in an attempt to get help.
Having responded promptly to the mitigated 911 call, Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) further transported the victim to a local hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Investigation Underway
The shooting is said to have occurred at approximately 2:18 a.m. at the Alta Blue Goose Apartments situated at 8110 Blue Goose Road. Although the investigation is in progress, law enforcement has yet to identify any primary suspects connected to the incident.
