In a surprising revelation, Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department Director, Kimberly McNeeley has taken everyone by surprise by submitting her resignation. The Interim City Manager Jesús Garza announced this news in a memorandum to the city’s mayor and the city council on a late Thursday evening. McNeeley plans to dedicate the month of May to aiding with the transition before bringing her illustrious tenure to an end in early June.
