On a typical day in South Austin, a shocking road rage incident unfolded as a woman was caught on camera repeatedly kicking a car carrying multiple children and trying to open the car door at a stoplight. This shocking incident has since gone viral on TikTok.
What Led to The Incident?
Dakotah Brewer, the terrified victim of the road rage incident, reported she was taking her stepchildren to the pool when the event transpired. Upon realizing she was in the wrong lane and subsequently changing, another motorist started aggressively honking at Brewer. “She was on her phone not paying attention,” Brewer stated, “so I merged in, and she proceeded to start honking her horn at me constantly.” The situation quickly escalated into a horrifying show of road rage as Brewer started capturing the incident.
Details of The Incident
“She pulled up, tried to hit my car and then pulled up next to my car. She began beating on my passenger seat window where my oldest stepdaughter was,” stated a visibly traumatized Brewer. This aggressive behaviour then escalated to the woman repeatedly kicking Brewer’s car.
She raged on, beating on the windows, and in a disturbing turn of events, tried opening the back door where Brewer’s three children were. “She proceeded to just like donkey kick my car over and over. She even ripped the gas tank cover off and dented the car,” reported Brewer.
An Unsettling Turn Of Events
The aggressive motorist took a frightening turn as she tried to ram Brewer’s car from behind when she mistakenly thought Brewer was pursuing her. The incident finally concluded when the enraged driver stormed off after noticing Brewer was calling the police.
“You saw that there were children in the car, you saw that there were children in my back seat, and you tried to open the door. What would you have done had you opened that door and saw my children?” an anguished Brewer asked.
Legal Proceedings
The terrifying video was posted on TikTok by Brewer, where it has now reached over a million views. With the help of viewers’ comments, she could identify the perpetrators and file an insurance claim. A police report has also been filed and is pending investigation by the Austin Police Department.
