Following transportation to the hospital, Fajardo-Reyes was pronounced dead at 7:17 a.m. This incident marks the 11th homicide of the year in Austin.
Earlier on March 30, 2025, another tragedy unfolded when a 16-year-old boy named Matthew Pichardo was found shot and lying on the ground near the 6400 block of Bradsher Drive at approximately 10:13 p.m. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Pichardo was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:34 p.m.
