Texas Rangers Game Day Atmosphere

News Summary

The Texas Rangers have announced the launch of the Rangers Sports Network (RSN), set to provide accessible game broadcasts to 16.5 million households. This initiative aims to enhance viewing experiences, allowing fans in Texas and nearby states to enjoy games without previous complications. With partnerships with major providers and a dedicated streaming app, the Rangers are ready to revolutionize baseball viewing. Fans can also look forward to a talented team of broadcasters and comprehensive coverage of spring training and regular season games.

Exciting News for Texas Rangers Fans!

Hey there, baseball lovers in Dallas! The Texas Rangers have an exciting announcement that’s bound to brighten your day! On January 27, 2025, it was revealed that they are rolling out the Rangers Sports Network (RSN). This new broadcasting channel is designed to allow fans from Texas and neighboring states to tune into games with ease and enjoyment—no more headaches from limited access!

Fan-Friendly Broadcasting!

For all you die-hard Rangers fans living in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and even parts of New Mexico, this is huge! The Rangers are eyeing a spectacular reach of 16.5 million households with this new network. Just to give you a sense of how monumental that is, it’s a staggering increase from the mere 1.6 million households that were reached back when they partnered with Bally Sports Southwest. This earlier partnership faced difficulties when their parent company, Diamond Sports Group, declared bankruptcy back in March 2023. Now, the Rangers have a fresh start!

A New Era in Baseball Viewing

Previously, if you wanted to watch the Rangers play, your choices were pretty limited to Bally Sports Southwest. However, in October 2024, the winds changed as Major League Baseball officially declared that the Rangers would not continue the partnership with Diamond. This bit of news opened the door for the Rangers to take charge of their own viewing experience, leading to the birth of the Rangers Sports Media and Entertainment Company, which will now handle the operations of the brand-new RSN.

Multiple Ways to Watch!

The Rangers are all about keeping things simple and accessible for their fans. They’ve partnered up with major cable providers like DirecTV, AT&T’s U-verse, and Charter’s Spectrum, so you can catch the games on your television. But wait, there’s more! Thanks to partnerships with Nexstar Media Group and Gray Media, fans can also enjoy free over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts. Set a reminder for March 28, 2025, because that’s when the first game airs OTA, featuring the Rangers taking on the Boston Red Sox!

Streaming Fans Rejoice!

If you’re one who enjoys catching games on the go, you’ll be thrilled to know that the RSN will also be accessible through the Dallas Stars’ Victory+ streaming app. For just $100 a season, you’ll be able to watch every Rangers game live, no matter where you are. It’s fantastic to have that flexibility and still be part of the action!

New Faces and Familiar Voices

And let’s not forget about the talent coming on board! The Rangers have assembled a dynamic team of broadcasters for the 2025 season. Fans can look forward to energetic play-by-play from Dave Raymond, with insightful color commentary from talents like Mike Bacsik and David Murphy. On-the-ground updates will come from field reporters Laura Stickells and Emily Jones, while Jared Sandler hosts pregame and postgame shows. Plus, former player Elvis Andrus will be joining as an analyst to share his expertise!

Spring Training and Regular Season Coverage

Baseball fans, get ready! The Rangers are broadcasting all spring training games, which you can catch on flagship radio station 105.3 The Fan or through a live webcast. When the regular season kicks off, expect to see 15 primetime Friday night home games featured on the OTA network. That’s a generous opportunity for everyone to rally behind the Rangers!

Get Ready for Opening Day!

With the season opener approaching on March 27, 2025, where the Rangers will once again face off against the Boston Red Sox, the future of watching Texas baseball is glittering with excitement! With so many hassle-free options to tune in, it’s time to put on your favorite jerseys, charge up your devices, and get ready to cheer for the Rangers like never before!
