When Austin-based entrepreneur Erin Stewart was first encountered at The Well, a popular destination in downtown Austin, her exuding positive energy was infectious. Many women turn to her for support and guidance on their fitness and food journey. After a nearly two-hour conversation, it was clear on why so many find inspiration from Stewart’s journey to wellness resulting in her business, Savor + Sweat.
Raised in Florida and a dance student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Stewart spent a significant part of her 20s in New York City. This journey laid the groundwork for her unique approach to health and fitness. Battling severe digestive disorders since childhood, she embraced a holistic approach to health and lifestyle, which included an anti-inflammatory, plant-forward diet.
As Stewart adjusted her diet to combat her personal health struggles, her attraction to food only heightened. During her time in New York, she saw the culinary scene transforming, with vegetables and whole foods rising to prominence. This led her to incorporate health-supportive cooking into her lifestyle more intensely, leading to the creation of her granola company, O’Cookies Wholesome Bites. A graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute of Health and Culinary Arts, she solidified her place within the culinary realm, fueling her passion for food and commitment to comprehensive wellbeing.
Fast forward to 2020, the challenges posed by the global pandemic led Stewart to adjust her approach to working with private clients. After six months, she saw potential to expand her reach and launched Savor + Sweat. The platform offers a variety of workouts from athletic barre, cardio sessions, and high intensity interval training (HIIT) classes for sustainable fitness while also providing weekly meal plans and exercise routines. All the while, the focus is on functional movements for fitness sustainability and longevity and making cooking enjoyable and approachable. Stewart’s goal is to encourage subscribers to cook three health-supportive recipes each week.
Erin Stewart’s journey from professional dancer to the founder of Savor + Sweat is a testament to her unwavering dedication to holistic wellbeing. Her experiences across dance, fitness, and culinary industries have culminated to create a platform that empowers individuals to live a balanced and healthful lifestyle. As Savor + Sweat continues to evolve, Erin remains committed to providing a sustainable approach to fitness and nutrition, inspiring individuals to enjoy the journey towards a healthier, happier life.
